I've finally come to a point in time where I am able to look back at the past 12 or so years with some sort of embarassed fondness. This blog is sure to be full of gushing posts about my adolescent obsessions such as the incredible men of HANSON, and all those who came after. Stay tuned, too, for excerpts from my middle school composition notebooks kept with best friend Cedric while we probably should have been paying attention in Language Arts; anecdotes of public school life in Bellingham, WA; disillusionment with teen life in the new millenium; and updates on whether or not I get accepted to the MEd. School Counseling program at Western Washington University. My feeble psychology background might creep in when I see how some of this musing relates back to actual adolescent development theory Wot I Have Learned.
I'm pretty sure I had the above photo of Hanson either as a fold-out poster from Bop, or in the glossy color insert in the Unauthorized Hanson Bio I got at the book fair one year. Either way, this is how I like to remember them--baby faced, not with babies of their own. I'm looking forward to taking a voyage back in time with you... hopefully we'll all be a little embarassed, but hopefully we'll be cool w/it.
